About
Lira here. Thirty-year-old long-time denizen of fandom whose primary contribution has always been writing, though I've done less of that of late. This twitter is both my primary personal account and a fandom account, which means tweets are likely to include inane rambling about my daily life, gushing about my cat, nonsequiturs about fandom, and livetweets of media I'm consuming, generally tagged. Besides writing, my primary hobbies are crocheting and RPing, both of which I am liable to discuss with minimal prompting.
I was an English-Education major in university and while I did not ultimately go into teaching, education is deeply important to me. I was also a Girl Scout for thirteen years and have an adult lifetime membership; I highly recommend the organization. The well-being and edification of young people, as I was saying, is deeply, deeply important to me.
I consider myself to be ace, gray-ace specifically, and tend to sum up my sexual history as "I sure have fucked a lot of people for someone who's never been sexually attracted to another human being in their life." I have a lot of tetchy aroace person feelings, which I tend not to talk about in public. However, I do have a NSFW twitter where I discuss my personal sexuality, shameful fictional kinks, and any life happenings I don't want to broadcast from an unlocked account. Plus sometimes I livetweet doujinshi, with pictures! (Please ask before following, I am picky about who has access to this information.)
I am also agender and prefer either they/them or she/her pronouns. For me personally, she/her is fine from strangers or twitter acquaintances I don't know especially well; with good friends who have gotten to know me, they/them is preferred. I consider gender to be somewhat a personal thing and therefore would almost rather strangers read me simply as female, or at least that they not interact with me about my gender. Once someone is my friend, on the other hand, I appreciate when they acknowledge my gender and am happy to talk with them about Gender Bullshittery. Everyone relates to gender differently and this is simply my perspective; for me, being nonbinary is very much a thing that is but it is hardly the most important thing about me.
Fandoms
I consume a lot of media but only truly consider myself to be "in the fandom" once I start producing content. To that end, the below list isn't so much a collection of my current fandoms but of all the fandoms I have loved enough to write or RP for the canon, along with my favorite ships and characters.
